Lots of things in our life evolves into dearer and dearer with the passage of time. Indeed, we need to have it regularly with us. Music is one kind of such things. It can be an awesome friend in our depressing feelings as well as it's a terrific method to express our pleasure. Human beings not usually believe in stats and figures however, if I mention 90% people possess music together with them then it can be noticed in our true to life. Now we have it in our cell phones, ipods, mp3 players in type of files or radio or movie and list keeps going. In addition to all the truth of music and it's worth in our life, Most likely most of us must have recognized the phrase "Oldies but Goodies". What is that? First of first it is music and it belongs to our early 1960s.
It's not at all tied to sixties since in lots of styles till 1980s, all the popular music is known as Oldies. I believe it's completely different from the present style of music which all of our kids are into. Let me name some of Oldies but Goodies and you will then know what it's all about. Elton John, Elvis Presley, Pat Boone, the Rolling Stones, Sam Cooke and list keeps going. From all those people, you must have identified that what truly oldies music is. In more easy words, well-liked hits in R&B, Pop and rock music from 1960s are known as Oldies but Goodies and all sorts of music is known as Oldies music. In spite of we say all those music Oldies that are from that age but these mostly consist of R&B, Pop, Rock, Novelty, Sound music from movies, and country.

Who is founder of the expression "Oldies but Goodies"? I am aware the majority of us already know the answer. For those who are unaware of him, It is the hottest DJ of the time Art Laboe. All the credit of coining the term "Oldies but Goodies" go to him. The truth is after that it comes out as an album for those favorite songs from the age at that time. Afterwards, there were nearly 14 sequels of the album extending the name as "Those Oldies But Goodies (Remind Me of You)" and, "Memories of Those Oldies But Goodies,". At that days the collection of Laboe stayed in top ten on Billboard's Top hundred LP's chart for nearly 3 years.
